Mitten came to us about 14 years ago from a Cats Home along with her brother Sooty, we were told that they were 2 girls, and about 12 weeks old. they were ferrell and for the first few day we did not see them as they took up residence in the airing cupboard. we eventually coaxed them out but they remained verty timmid, Angela managed to get them into a box and I took them to the vet to be ‘seen to’ during the morning the vet phoned to say they were younger than we thought and did we know that Sooty was a boy, and not fully developed. She could not guarentee that the op would be successful as only one testicle was developed. So they both came back home and not wanting to put him through further pain did not return to have the other ‘T’ removed. once fully recovered off he went for days at a time fireing on one cylinder!
Mitten eventually came round to being a house cat and really took to Peter, as he is still and quiet and puts the food down, I am constantly telling her that I buy the food but she will never sit on my lap. Angela got married in 1998 and her wedding day was the last time I am sure that I saw Sooty, he never returned. We are constantly siteing an all black cat and one morning very early I came down stairs to find him curled up on the sofa, but made a beeline for the cat flap when he saw me. I see him ocasionally walking around the garden or or sitting in the church yard when I take a short cut to the shops, or do I? Is it Sooty or one of his prodigy. Mitten is happy to have us all to herself, and although is stiff with arthritus, is still frisky and kitten like. We never intended to have cats but they were an unexpected birthday present from Angela, but you can see what a sweety she is.
