A short while ago my brother and his wife came to stay, and we decided to have a day out and visit the gardens at Capel Manor the Horticultural College at Enfield.   We decided to take Hubb’s new Volvo well new to him about 11 years old bought a few months ago on Ebay for £1,600.   Yes I know we all told him at the time but he bought it anyway!
Here it is, his pride and joy, he had to go to Manchester to a seedy industrial estate to collect it, but he brought it home and it was super, drove well was immaculate inside was superbe under the bonnet.
Well the day out was hot, hot, hot, and we got stuck in traffic and suddenly he was having difficulty in getting it into gear, and then it gave up.   What are we todo? we phoned daughter who would have helped but had a childrens party to do but suggested we joined the AA, which is what we did, the cost was the same as calling out a tow truck.   They got us home and we have a years membership, so we can breakdown as many times as we like now.   I challenged my brother to organize an equilly unusual day out next time we visit him.
Here you can see how he managed to deliver the Volvo right onto our front drive without asking neighbours to move other cars.
And the AA man was a bonus!!!
Loads more photos in the album, hope you enjoy

I hope it isn’t anything serious with the car.  I sometimes wonder about buying things on Ebay…

Susan, looks like a wonderful garden, how lovely that you had the opportunity to visit it.  I like the way your Space is shaping up.  How is the victory garden coming along?  Harvesting yummie veggies yet?  Sorry about Mitten.  Glad that I had a chance to finally get back here.  Hope you and hubby are doing well.
    Blessed be,
