  7. Kuskulana says:

    Hi Suki;
    I see your setting on Flickr (by clicking on more properties to the right of the photo).
    When compared to the last shot I took of yesterday’s sunset here, it is surprising!
    It would seem that the light was a full 2 f stops brighter for me than for you with yours. I never would have guessed that.
    All my digital shots of the sunset are hand held, and not very well braced. I have Image Stabalization on my camera, do you?
    I guess you could try upping the ISO to 800 and that would give you double the shutter speed.
    I also shoot my sunsets in manual mode so I can control all the settings.
    Well at any rate, you did a great job here and using the post for support is great technique too!
    Keep it up!!
    Hugs from Alaska

     Hey, Ok, first of all, retirement, hummmmm………what a change, and me hope it is postive.  Allways or hopefully U will have your allotment to work on.
     Wales…..ran across some information, owners of the B&B, the woman was the Nanny for Charles and Diana’s boys, before and after her death.  She moved on, started a family, opened the B&B, the site is charming, and worthy of some R&R, of course the poetry is a bit "Timeless".  Maybe one day I will be able to visit, till then I dream.
    Best of luck with retirement," a new life awaits."

  36. Bittersweet on-the-hill. says:

    Hello Suki,
    A very lovely picture.  We are experiencing our usually dreadful February (s.)  Snow, sleet and freezing rain.  I’m doing what I usually do in February and that is reading and browsing through seed and flower catalogues.  I fear I have been overly ambitious with my selections but I have convinced myself that "I am worth it."  I am expanding the garden to include potatoes, corn and a strawberry bed. Every year I fail to find my New Zealand spinach and so it goes.  This year I got it all!  And the flowers…..well that is my treat.

    And how are you doing?  I trust spring is coming fast.  Be warm and stay well.   Bittersweet
