We went on holiday to Spain at the end of May and here I am nearly at the end of June only just blogging about it, well don’t time fly when your having fun! I have done a few things recently that warrant a blog and have kept me busy so folks keep watching this space there are one or two blogs coming up.
In the mean time thank you for your patients and for taking the time to read this.
This is the forth year we have been to Finca el Cerrillo in the mountain village of Cannillas Albaida which is a painting holiday run by our friend and tutor Phil Hinde do check out his web site he is a most inspirational artist. It is a typical Moorish village which dates back to the 13th centaury and is one of the typical ‘publos blancos’ or white villages this is the view from theterrace. The Finca has so much character with a beautiful Moorish court yard and many nooks and corners which fill the artist with inspiration and the non artist with wine! The food presented at the Finca was delicious but some evenings we were taken into the villages to shop and eat at the local restaurants. On our last day we were having lunch in the village square while a christening was taking place at the church, tradition is that the father throws coins and sweets to the guests and there is an almighty bundle to grab as much as you could, you would think the ‘teenager’ would be ‘cool’ and leave it to the children but NO every
one for himself, but we were treated to the best Flamenco dance in Spain by this little girl.
Thank you for stopping by and spending time with me in Spain we have booked to go again next year we are just gluttons for pampering ourselves
Love to you all
