Goodbye to the shed

Goodbye to the shed

Here is the shed we have had in our garden for many years75340_1242398633

looks good doesn’t it sort of shed you would see in a garden at an RHS Flower Show?  but do not be deceived, the roof leaked and the floor was rotten there was so much stuff in it you could never find anything, Garden Rust 035   just a few of the items we have acquired over the years and have fallen out of favor.Garden Rust 003       This window was rescued when an old Water Co pumping station was pulled down, we had to keep it surely it would come in useful one day?

And now the shed is being taken down and a new workshop and greenhouse will

replace it.

Garden May 016           Garden May 033        first the tree needed to be removed so out came the chain saw and

down it came.  The work started and the window was utilized and the roof tiled

Garden June 136

As you can see we are a family that likes to recycle and reuse anything we can. So what about the Green house? Well my sister in law, had her old conservatory replaced with a ‘modern’ Victorian one so the old one lay in our garage for a couple of years and was transformed into a Shed 001   Garden Room/ Greenhouse, as you can see I couldn’t wait to put it to good use.  We will be having a grand opening ceremony on the 19th (any excuse for a party) Shed 005

all are welcome!

Join me again soon for more tails from the Potting Shed
