Is it Summer already?

Well today does not feel much like summer and watching the Open Golf they don’t seem too happy either!

But we have had a good spring with some beautiful wild flowers.  A visit to North Meadow at Cricklade to see the Snakes Head Fritillaries was a photo opportunity not to be missed

The meadow supports Britain’s Largest population of the snake’s head fritillary Fritillaria meleagris, a beautiful and nationally scarce flower.

A few weeks later in May we were treated to a beautiful show of Bluebells in Norsey Woods.

I went with my friends from the photo club and picked up my lift at 4.30 am intime to catch the dew on the flowers at dawn

Lovely photos. I’m not a fan of the fritillaria but you’ve managed to capture their beauty.

  2. Welcome back Suki! Thought you’d got lost in your wildwood forever!! So good to see you back, missed you 🙂 The flower photos are lovely…and I see you’ve got to grips with the slideshow feature enhancing them still further. Can’t use it on my blog, it stretches across the whole page and looks utterly ridiculous! How are you? Hope all is well with you…it seems so long since you were last here….don’t do that again ok?!! lol 😉 Tail wagging wolfie hugs x
