The Farne Islands

Before we left the lakes Peter did a bit of rock climbing!  I am sure you believe me when I say that the camera never lies!

The Gray Nomads are now heading for the East Coast and Lindisfarne where we parked the motorhome at a farm, no toilet block real rural living but never mind there was electrical hook up so we could use the microwave and the TV LOL all mod cons.

The highlight of this part of the holiday was the visit to the Farne Islands, we were lucky with the weather and were able to land on Inner Farne for an hour and enjoy the bird life I wanted particularly to see the Puffins and I was not disappointed the are crazy little creatures and not bothered by the flocks of visitors and photographers in fact they pose for the camera they are such stars! It was nest building and mating time when we were there, and love was in the air as the Turns took their turn and the Guillemots and Razor Bills jostled on the cliffs for the best spaces.
