New Years Day 2013 – Hylands Park – 1/364

First day of the new year and a visit to Hylands Park in Chelmsford home of the V festival!  Plenty of walkers out in the beautiful sunshine, there must have been a Grayhound convention so many people with this breed of dog.New Years Day Hylands Park 006

This beautiful tree is not in leaf all the growth you see here is mistletoe catching the sunlight.New Years Day Hylands Park 009

This is an old gnarled Wallnut tree with a ledgend attachedNew Years Day Hylands Park 010

A good brisk walk around the park even though it was a bit muddy underfoot then back to Angela’s for lunch and watch Mary Poppins on TV

  2. Hi! Lovely to see you back 🙂 Hope the New Year got off to a good start for you and your family….the New Year’s Day walk looked like fun 🙂 Not seen a Walnut tree before and the legend of the witches to go with it make it most intriguing!
