Squirrel High on Magic Mushrooms

It seems that Spring is on it’s way with more activity from the birds and squirrels in the garden. We have a dead cherry tree just outside our window, which has a beautiful climing rose clinging to it a wonderful sight in June. The tree being dead is an ideal place for these bracket fungi to grow, I have never seen squirrels eat this type of food before, I juat hope it has no ill effects on him.

  1. Aww!! Isn’t he just adorable? That little squirrelly face and those little squirrelly “hands” lol…beautiful, endearing photo πŸ™‚ It does seem like a strange choice of food and really…I would have thought he was quite high enough already all the way up in that tree! I doubt he’ll come to any harm though, wildlife tends to be rather more canny about it’s food sources than humans…Wolfie knows these things!! x
